![]() ![]() Running Setupprep.exe ran the same upgrade prompts that people who have upgraded via windows update would see and worked flawlessly! Hopefully this helps someone else if they're having the same issue. But I kept rooting through folders and I found a setupprep.exe here: I did some digging around and I couldn't get either setup.exe in $Windows.~BT to work nor $Windows.~WS. I let it go and had hopes the upgrade would go well this time, but no dice - same error. ![]() Well, no, it restarts the whole download. Damn, well I'll just reopen the tool and it'll restart the setup I thought. The upgrade went full screen and said that setup was preparing to start when I was hit with an near instant error claiming there was an issue with a command related to DynamicUpdate. Everything was going great and I had selected to upgrade the pc rather than create a USB drive. When working on upgrading from a fresh reinstall of Windows 7 for my dad on his laptop, I had to use the media creation tool to get Windows 10 to download. ![]()
